Notice regarding May Licensing Round 2022

May 2022 licenses for Travel Agents and Tour Operators

The Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) has published CN1/2022, detailing key dates and vital information for those travel agents and tour operators whose licences expire on 30 April 2022.

Licence holders are strongly advised to read CN1/2022 in full.

Applicants are reminded that all applications are dealt with on a date of receipt basis. Therefore, early submission is recommended. Please ensure that your application is fully submitted before midnight on 14 February 2022 to avoid levies. This means:

The Application Form submitted by email only to traveltrade@aviationreg.ie
Fee paid to CAR (by same day transfer if necessary) - the fee can only be paid by EFT and must be in CARs account on 14 February; and

Signed declaration received by CAR.

DateStage
Monday 14th February 2022Deadline for receipt of completed licence application at standard fee.
Monday 14th March 2022Date the Commission aims to issue decision-in-principle letters for completed applications made by 14th February 2022.
Friday 15th April 2022Deadline for receipt by the Commission of applicant bonds/sufficient evidence of security in order to trade from 1st May 2022.
