We are pleased to offer a Best Practices for Part-IS Compliance course, which introduces the key concepts underpinning information security measures that impact aviation safety. This course outlines the elements of an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and presents best practices for documentation and implementation. The course includes theoretical insights and practical exercises to support learning objectives and encourage participant engagement.
Course Content:
This course comprises introductory level modules, including:
- Introduction to Part-IS: objectives and scope of regulatory requirements
- Establishing and implementing an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Aligning ISMS with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Security Management Systems (SeMS)
- Developing the Information Security Management Manual (ISMM)
- Integrating risk assessment outputs into ISMM documentation
- Understanding the IAA’s approval process
- Compliance monitoring and next steps after approval
