The IAA FSTD Standards Section of the Flight Operations Department qualifies and approves devices as follows:
It evaluates and issues initial or renewal Qualification certificates for all training devices located within the State, and selected devices overseas, in accordance with Regulation Aircrew and CS FSTD A & FSTD H, as applicable, and the associated AMC material.
It issues user approval certificates for all training devices for which credits may be sought.

Approved Training Organisation (ATO) Application
To register your interest in applying to open an Approved Training Organisation (ATO), please email fod@iaa.ie, briefly detailing your request. You will then be contacted by the Authority who will arrange a pre-application meeting to further discuss your request.
