The NSA has granted a Certificate to the Air Navigation Service (ANS) under EU Implementing Regulation 1035/2011 authorising ANS to provide Aeronautical Information Services in Ireland
The object of the AIS is to ensure the flow of accurate aeronautical information necessary for the safety, regularity and efficiency of international air navigation. This is achieved by the publication and distribution of the Integrated Aeronautical Information Package (IAIP), the elements of which originate from the requirements specified in:
- ICAO Annex 15 - Standards and Recommended Practices for Aeronautical Information Services, and:
- ICAO Annex 4 - Standards and Recommended practices for Aeronautical Charts
Annex 15 specifies that aeronautical information should be published as an Integrated Aeronautical Information Package (IAIP) comprises:
- The Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP)
- AIP Amendments (ASAM No.006).
- AIP supplements (ASAM No.007)
- NOTAM's
- Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) (ASAM No. 009)
- European Aeronautical Database (EAD) (ASAM No.024)
- Aeronautical Information Circulars (AIC) (ASAM No.010)
