Course Description
This course will draw on the ICAO SMS Framework, EASA ORO.GEN.200, ADR.OR.D.005, and ATS.OR.200 Management Systems Rules using the EASA Management System Assessment Tool (MSAT) Guidance Material, along with case studies, experiences and observations from the IAA's current oversight activities. We will also discuss Just Culture, looking at its origins and importance to safety culture. We will discuss how to create an effective Just Culture within your organisation, or critique your current Just Culture from a practical perspective, looking at the pitfalls and positive ways it can impact all aspects of your operation.
You will benefit from the latest thinking on SMS, examples of best practice and the latest regulatory changes and policies towards SMS, delivered by experts.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course delegates will be able to demonstrate the knowledge of how to assess the effectiveness of an organisation's SMS and will gain the ability to evaluate their third-party suppliers where applicable.
Prerequisites
It is recommended that delegates attend the Introduction to Safety Management Systems course prior to attending.
