Flying Displays in Ireland at advertised events open to the public or at private events are subject to the Irish Aviation Authority (Flying Displays) Order 2023.

Any person who wishes to organise and conduct an air display or air show in the State must apply to the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) for a Flying Display Permission.
Every Flying Display also requires a Flying Display Director (FDD) who is the holder of an FDD permission from the IAA to supervise all aspects of the proposed aerial activities.
Flying Display Permissions are subject to the applicable schedule of charges available on the IAA website.

Complete applications must arrive no later than 30 days before the planned date of the event.
