Issues Paper for Third Interim Review of the 2019 Determination on Airport Charges at Dublin Airport for the period 2023 to 2026

The Commission has today published a Methodological Consultation and Issues Paper for the Third Interim Review of the 2019 Determination on Airport Charges at Dublin Airport.

The 2019 Determination on the maximum level of airport charges in Dublin Airport from 2020 to 2024 was published in October 2019. Subsequently, we carried out an Interim Review of the 2019 Determination in 2020 in response to the significant impact of COVID-19 on the aviation industry. That decision outlined several amendments to the 2019 Determination in relation to 2020 and 2021. In 2021, we carried out a second Interim Review which broadly carried forward these amendments into 2022. In that decision, we also committed to carrying out a full review during 2022 for the period 2023-2026.

In this paper we outline our intention to conduct a full building block review and detail our current thinking on the key issues related to each building block for this review. We seek feedback from stakeholders on all aspects of our proposals. Responses are due by 5pm 14 March 2022 and should be sent by email to: info@aviationreg.ie
