French Freedom Holidays Limited has ceased trading from 5th April 2013

Apr 5, 2013, 01:00 by Engine Support

The Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) has revoked licence number 0630 and called down the bond that was held by French Freedom Holidays Limited trading as Welcome France.

Passengers that have made bookings for forward travel (departing from ROI only) may be entitled to make a claim from the bond (please see exceptions below). Check with your ferry company/accommodation provider as if monies are outstanding on your booking, a claim can be made.

A claim form can be downloaded here.  Please read all notes attached to the claim form and send completed form to the address below. Claims will be processed according to date of departure and we ask claimants that proof of payment is sent in along with any other supporting documentation available.  We advise you keep a copy of all submitted paperwork for your own records.

Claims Department, Commission for Aviation Regulation, Alexandra House, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2.

If you do have a query please email us using the attached format.

Was your holiday for accommodation only/booked when the company was unlicensed/departing from the UK?   ...  If you have a booking for accommodation only, or if you booked during the period when French Freedom Holidays did not have a licence (1 November 2012 - 21 January 2013), or are travelling from the UK you will not be covered under the CAR Bond.   However, you can lodge a claim with ABTA Limited and details can be found here.
