RAF Red Arrows to Headline Spectacular #AviationIreland Weekend
It has been confirmed that the RAF Red Arrows will headline the #AviationIreland weekend by appearing at the Bray Air Display on July 29, 2018. This will be the culmination of a spectacular weekend celebrating the aviation industry. Air displays will take place in Foynes, Co Limerick and in Bray over the course of the weekend, bringing together audiences from the Wild Atlantic Way to Ireland’s Ancient East.
Aircraft will cross the country in a weekend that will inspire and dazzle audiences, for free, in one of the biggest air displays in Europe. Last year, 170,000 people attended the airshows in Foynes and Bray.
Sé Pardy, Bray Air Display Director said; “It will be particularly special to have the RAF Red Arrows attend the Bray Air Display this year. This is one of the most famous and accomplished aerobatic display teams in the world, and it is sure to ignite the imagination of a new generation.”
Margaret O’Shaughnessy, Foynes Air Show Festival Director commented;“This free family show is all about entertainment and enjoyment, with a nod to world aviation history and to a time when Foynes was literally at the centre of the golden age of aviation. We are looking forward to a tremendous event."

The full line up for the weekend will be announced in the coming weeks in conjunction with the organising committees of the Bray Air Display and the Foynes Air show. The weekend will involve organisation and planning across several airfields, local display teams, air traffic control and the Defence Forces.
