The tasks and actions performed by EASA and deriving from the 2016 Agency’s Work Programme are summarized here.
The Agency continued to strive for the implementation of a performance and risk-based environment. A particular highlight was the publication of a prototype rule for drones which provides an advanced draft for the regulation of drones differentiated by category. This prototype rule allowed an early discussion of the draft regulatory text with all stakeholders before the formal publication of the Notice of Proposed Amendment in 2017.
