Temporary Restricted Areas in Place for Bray Air Display and Fingal Rush Air Display

31 Jul 2026

Two exciting aviation events take to the skies this bank holiday weekend and Temporary Restricted Areas (TRAs) have been established to support the safe operation of the Rush Air Display and Bray Air Display.

The Temporary Restricted Areas will be in effect during designated periods around both events and are designed to ensure the safety of participating aircraft, spectators, and other aircraft operating in the vicinity. The TRAs are in place this Saturday and Sunday for the Bray Air Display and Fingal Rush Air Display, which are expected to attract large crowds to the region.

Drone operators must familiarise themselves with the details of the restrictions to avoid entering the affected airspace during the published times.

Further information, including the dates, operating times and coordinates of the Temporary Restricted Areas, is available on the Publications section of the IAA website, www.iaa.ie/publications under TRA notices.

Coinciding with the air displays, the IAA has launched its Fly Smart, Fly Safe campaign, drone safety awareness campaign, reminds recreational and commercial drone operators of their responsibilities when flying near events and restricted airspace.
