Traffic Movements for February 2010

Air Traffic movements in Irish- controlled airspace for February 2010 show a continuing decrease on comparable figures for February 2009. En-route traffic (over flights) were down -3.2% while North Atlantic Communications flights were down -2.7%. This is significant for the Irish Aviation Authority as, overflights and communications revenue account for almost 80% of turnover and relate to aircraft, the vast majority of which did not land in Ireland.
Commercial air traffic movements at the State airports, Dublin , Cork and Shannon which are controlled by thr IAA were down, as follows,
- Dublin -14.2%
- Shannon -36.8%
- Cork --7.5%.
The combined commercial movements for the three State airports were down -16.4%.
