Air Traffic Controllers Suspend Unofficial Action
27 Jan 2008
IMPACT, the air traffic controllers' union, has advised the Irish Aviation Authority that the unofficial action by air traffic controllers at Dublin Airport is temporarily suspended until Friday 1 February. The Authority welcomes this development but is disappointed at the limitation to the suspension, particularly given that both sides are committed to continuing discussions under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission. These discussions are re-convening on Wednesday 30 January and are due to conclude by Friday 8 February.
In light of this action no delays due to staffing are envisaged before Friday 1 February. The Authority regrets the inconvenience caused to the public to date.
