Thomas Cook Group has ceased trading. It is part of the ATOL scheme administered in the UK by the Civil Aviation Authority. Please visit this website for information and updates https://thomascook.caa.co.uk/.

For Irish passengers who are abroad:

Any Irish customers who purchased from the Thomas Cook Group and due to return to the UK on or before 6 October 2019, will be accommodated on a new flight. Depending on your location, this will be either on CAA-operated flights or by using existing flights with other airlines. Please go to the following website https://thomascook.caa.co.uk/ for details. If you travelled from Belfast, you can avail of a repatriation flight to Belfast.

The repatriation programme being organised by the CAA in the UK will only be operating for the next two weeks (up to and including Sunday 6 October). If you are due to return to the UK on or after 7 October 2019 and your holiday is ATOL protected with Thomas Cook, the CAA will be making individual arrangements for you to return to the UK with existing flights on other airlines. Details of this will be sent directly to you. If you are not ATOL protected and due to return on or after 7 October 2019 you will have to make your own travel arrangements. At the time of booking you should have received an ATOL certificate. Please visit the above website to check to see if you are covered and if so for what.

If you are not covered by ATOL, you should contact your card issuer, bank, or travel insurer for advice on whether you can claim a refund. Some non-flight packages or hotel bookings may be protected by trade organisations in the UK such as ABTA.

For Irish passengers who have not yet travelled:

As of 23 September 2019 most holidays and flights booked with Thomas Cook are now cancelled and customers should not go to the airport. If your Thomas Cook flights are ATOL protected by Thomas Cook or any company in the Thomas Cook Group your flights are now cancelled. You should make a claim for a refund via the ATOL scheme. If you are an Irish customer who has booked a Thomas Cook package through an Irish travel agent you should be covered under ATOL and you should contact the Irish Travel Agent you booked with.
