Draft Decision on Supplementary Capital Investment at Dublin Airport
The Commission has published a Draft Decision in relation to a supplementary capital expenditure request from Dublin Airport. This request seeks funding approval for 23 capital projects in the passenger terminals, on the apron, and on the airfield, collectively termed the Programme of Airport Campus Enhancement (PACE). Our Draft Decision is to provide a supplementary allowance of €267.5 million for these projects. We commissioned two reports in support of the Draft Decision. An assessment of the efficiency of the proposed expenditure is here, while an assessment of the benefits of the proposed airfield projects is here. We have also published an interactive price cap model here, which is intended to allow stakeholders assess the future price cap effect of the PACE under a range of different scenarios. We have published a progress reporting chart here; we intend this to be updated quarterly by Dublin Airport and then published by us.
