01 Aug 2014

Friday, 1st August 2014: Taking into consideration the recent escalation of violence and the attacks on Tripoli airport, in which infrastructure was damaged and made unserviceable, a series of notices to airmen (NOTAMs) affecting the TRIPOLI (HLLL) Flight Information Region (FIR) have been issued by EASA.

The Agency draws the aviation community’s attention to information that indicates the existence of serious risks to the safety of international civil flights and the consequent airspace restrictions implemented. Aircraft operators flight planning in this region should exercise caution.
