Safety Notice – Ongoing Wildfire Aerial Firefighting Operations

The Irish Air Corps are assisting with wildfire aerial firefighting operations throughout the country.
Today (Thursday, the 5th of July, 2018) marks the sixth consecutive day of these operations.
Do not fly drones, SUA (Small Unmanned Aircraft) or UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) in the vicinity of fires or these firefighting operations, as doing so could pose severe safety risks to; aerial operations, flight crews and individuals on the ground.
Aviation safety is the responsibility of all operators (drone operators included) and all operators should inform themselves of operations in their area, to ensure they do not interfere with operations.
