20 Aug 2015

20th August 2015: The IAA is very pleased with the publication of the National Aviation Policy today by Pascal Donohoe, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport.

The policy contains a clear programme to facilitate the growth of the Irish civil aviation industry. Many key actions have been identified, which will help to ensure an effective environment for the development of the aviation industry, which will also support the wider National economy, including support for the development of a second runway at Dublin Airport.

Eamonn Brennan, Chief Executive, IAA said: ‘Safety remains the number one priority for the IAA and this has been acknowledged as the State’s key priority area. We are looking forward to playing a central role in helping to implement the National Aviation Policy, including participating on the new National Aviation Forum’.
