Friday 31st October 2014: John B. Keane’s ‘Sive’ opened at the Lime Tree Theatre on Tuesday, 28th October for a five-night run as part of an all-Ireland tour by the Abbey Theatre. Proudly sponsored by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), the Abbey Players’ performance of the classic Irish play is one of the highlights of the Limerick’s City of Culture theatre programme.

Directed by Conall Morrison, the gripping new production received rave reviews from the audience at Limerick’s opening night.

“The Abbey Players delivered a powerful performance and we would like to congratulate the cast and crew,” said Eamonn Brennan, Chief Executive of the IAA. “The Irish Aviation Authority is honoured to be supporting the Limerick City of Culture and the National Theatre of Ireland by our sponsorship of this classic play by John B. Keane, ‘Sive’.  Limerick, and the surrounding region, makes a very significant contribution to the Irish civil aviation industry and it is very fitting that the IAA lends its support.”
