State Safety Plan 2015-2018
6th Oct 2015: The IAA has published the State Safety Plan 2015-2018. This four year plan is updated annually and details mitigating actions being taken at the State level to address key risks in the civil aviation system.
New actions included in the latest version of the Plan include increased collaboration between the regulator and organisations (i.e. via Safety Management System) to improve the collection and analysis of lower tier safety indicators, reconstitution of the Runway Incursions Action Group as a Runway Safety Group with extended remit to review ramp and taxiway events, and actions aimed at the General Aviation community to address airspace infringement and mid-air collision.
