Disruption to Air Traffic Services at Cork Airport

Nov 13, 2015, 00:12 AM by User Not Found

Notwithstanding a Labour Court hearing, which is scheduled for Monday 25th February to address the difficulties of the air traffic controllers, further unofficial action by controllers at Cork Airport will significantly disrupt services at Cork Airport between 1600hrs this evening (February 20th) and 0800 hrs tomorrow (February 21st).

The dispute centres on enhanced overtime / call in payments and rosters.

Restricted services will apply between 1600hrs and 2400hrs this evening and there is a risk of delay to flights during this period.

No services will be provided by the controllers between 0000hrs and 0800hrs tomorrow morning and the Irish Aviation Authority will have no option but to cancel air traffic services at the airport in the interest of safety.

Intending passengers should contact their airline for further information. The Irish Aviation Authority regrets the inconvenience to the travelling public and to airlines.
