13:30hrs Update - Bardarbunga Volcano

Nov 13, 2015, 00:11 AM by User Not Found

Following the sub-glacial eruption detected under Dyngjujökull glacier in Iceland yesterday, authorities have confirmed that there is no sign of a full eruption. As a result, the aviation colour for the Bardarbunga volcano was downgraded from red to orange.

All operations in Irish and European airspace remain normal. The IAA is liaising with all relevant organisations and is continuing to closely monitor the situation. If any threats to aviation arise we will quickly inform the travelling public.
