ICT Programme & Business Intelligence Manager

Job Purpose

Leading the development & design of BI solutions that meet business needs & supporting a wide footprint of existing BI Applications. Provide services in support of the organisation’s strategic, statutory and operational reporting and analytic needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare documentation for requirements, report, interface and design specifications in support of Business needs.

Lead the ETL interface development, Data Warehouse Modeling, OLAP and Dashboard design for BI solution delivery

Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and support of BI technology solutions for business processes

Provides recommendations to improve system functionality and processes within the BI environment.

Contribute to the IAA code library for increased development productivity.

Lead the definition of BI solutions to functional problems, conforming to established BI architecture standards and practices.

Provide solution delivery & application support expertise for IAA BI Applications.

Assist with the maintenance of BI Applications to ensure they are maintained and patched to required levels, including annual security and maintenance patches.

Partner with external organisations such as Microsoft to keep up to date with current BI enabling technologies and implement them effectively

Maximize the utilisation of IAA BI applications to improve business processes and achieve optimum return on investment in BI technologies.

Ensure BI Applications conform to BI architecture standards and best practices.

Project Manage and Report on own workload to agreed plan


Skills Required

5+ years’ experience with proven record

5+ years BI Development Tool experience (Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Team Foundation Services, Web Services Development (WSDL, REST, SOAP etc), TargIT Decision Suite).

Development & Project Methodologies

Microsoft Database Experience (SQL/T-SQL)


Skills Desirable

MCSA BI Development Certified

Project Management Experience
