Job Purpose

Administrative support within the Licensing Section of SRD

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • The post holder will be required to process and support several activities within the licensing section of SRD including;
    • Checking and analysing documents, accounts, claims etc. ensuring that material conforms to regulations, contract terms, etc.
    • Checking and assessing documents applying knowledge and experience.
    • Checking, examining and querying documentation.
    • Drafting letters and memos based on factual information.
    • Completing and issuing standard forms, memos, letters, queries, etc.
    • Analysing and/or making précis of material.
    • Preparing explanatory memoranda of a straightforward nature.
    • Preparing, signing and issuing correspondence.
    • Making recommendations on the basis of instruction, regulations or general practice.
    • General registry and filing duties.
    • Making or checking standard arithmetical calculations.
    • General registry and filing duties.
    • Acceptance of cash – issuing change and receipts. Recording and balancing cash received.
    • Development of invoices as appropriate
    • Preparing standard statistical material.
    • Processing and administration of licensing activities.
  • Skills Required:
    • Ability to quickly assimilate technical information
    • Accuracy and speed in processing application and for data entry.
    • Professional telephone manner.
    • Proficient PC skills with experience in Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work by yourself and also as part of a team environment.
    • Maintain strict medical confidentiality
  • Additionally, the post holder will be required to draft letters, minutes of meetings, staff notices and other documentation relevant to the functions of the Department from time to time.
  • Comply with the Authority’s Performance Management System.
  • Comply with health and safety issues in accordance with the Company Safety Statement.
  • Monitor, maintain and develop ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
