Who are we?

The purpose of the Aviation Stakeholders Forum (ASF) is to foster the maintenance and improvement of aviation safety in Ireland and to support the development of a positive aviation safety culture within the Irish aviation community.

In accordance with aviation regulations the following stakeholder groups were invited to nominate a member for the Aviation Stakeholder Forum:

  • Recognised aviation stakeholder groups
  • Recognised aviation trade unions
  • Representative bodies
  • Certified aviation organisations
  • Other interested parties

How can I join the Forum?

Membership of the Forum is by invitation only.  Invitations have been extended to the senior managers of the organisations included in the specified stakeholder groups.  The invitation remains open for organisations that have not yet nominated a member for the forum to do so by responding to the invitation.

How does the Forum operate?

The forum is convened at least twice annually, and an agenda is agreed between forum members in advance, taking into account the current safety priorities as proposed by members. Reports on the meetings are published on a dedicated webpage.

The Terms of Reference for the Forum were consulted with the aviation community in Q1 2023. Please refer to GAM 03 - Stakeholder Forum for more details on the Aviation Stakeholder Forum.
